For teachers to become more reflective and responsive in their instructional practices, they must have a clear understanding of best practices in instruction and student learning. Teachers need time to observe, notice and note, have purposeful collaborative discussions, time to reflect on their own practices, and have follow up coaching to support their learning. Through planned classroom learning labs, teachers become much more intentional in their own instruction. Teachers identify what it is they need and make the ideas their own.
